It's raining! Or rather, the sky is falling in. This means that my lawn is getting some much needed moisture - maybe it won't be brown!

A mild Texas summer. Don't get me wrong it's still hot, but 93 beats 103 anyday.

The Grateful Dead for reminding me that every silver lining has a touch of gray. I know this sounds pessimistic, but I think that it illustrates the balance of life. After all you can't recognize the good without knowing what bad is.

My company lost a big account last week which may affect my job security. I've spent the last 4 days looking for things to be grateful for. Here's what I've got so far:

1) By finishing up a project, I might dodge the layoff bullet (as least for a little while)
2) The experience I've gained working on this account is priceless
3) Every ending is a new beginning - I am excited for what my future holds and grateful to have a new opportunity (whatever that may be)
4) My stress level might go down a little bit (eventually)
