A few weeks ago I got into a car accident that totalled my car. On the surface this looks like nothing good could come of it, but on the contrary - the accident may be a blessing in disguise. I am grateful for the following outcomes of this event:
1) No one was hurt
2) Insurance totalled out my car, forcing me to buy a new one
3) I like my new car better
4) My insurance settlement covered the cost of the new car so I am still car-payment-free
5) I was able to secure the new car before my rental car insurance payments expired
6) My insurance payment for my new car is less than my old car
7) I have a little money left over
8) Since I'm unemployed at the moment, it didn't really inconvenience my life too much
The most important thing is that no one was hurt. Things can be replaced, but injury can last forever. Thanks to my angels for keeping me safe!

My company lost a big account last week which may affect my job security. I've spent the last 4 days looking for things to be grateful for. Here's what I've got so far:
1) By finishing up a project, I might dodge the layoff bullet (as least for a little while)
2) The experience I've gained working on this account is priceless
3) Every ending is a new beginning - I am excited for what my future holds and grateful to have a new opportunity (whatever that may be)
4) My stress level might go down a little bit (eventually)
