When I had a job, I was working on a beast of a project. In addition to the loss of houses and forest, the wildfires in California will likely affect certain aspects of that beast-project. I am so grateful that it's no longer my problem.

Grateful that my homeowners association didn't see my lawn before I edged it yesterday.
This morning's motivation. I feel productive, therefore I am productive.
Yesterday's suprise thunderstorm. It was a beautiful light show and my yard really needed the water.

My wonderful friends and family who have been so loving, supportive and inspiring. Life is good!
My incredible luck.
A few weeks ago I got into a car accident that totalled my car. On the surface this looks like nothing good could come of it, but on the contrary - the accident may be a blessing in disguise. I am grateful for the following outcomes of this event:

1) No one was hurt
2) Insurance totalled out my car, forcing me to buy a new one
3) I like my new car better
4) My insurance settlement covered the cost of the new car so I am still car-payment-free
5) I was able to secure the new car before my rental car insurance payments expired
6) My insurance payment for my new car is less than my old car
7) I have a little money left over
8) Since I'm unemployed at the moment, it didn't really inconvenience my life too much

The most important thing is that no one was hurt. Things can be replaced, but injury can last forever. Thanks to my angels for keeping me safe!
Grateful that I have the courage to try something new. It will be successfull!
Grateful that I am healthy.
Grateful that I have the willpower to maintain a frugal lifestyle.
2 months without a post - terrible! There has been so much to be grateful for! The biggest gift has been TIME.

1) Time to relax and regroup and recover from burnout.
2) Time to go to the gym and kickstart my fitness program.
3) Time to work on some of my projects.
4) Time to enjoy the pool :)

Grateful for the opportunity to start a new life.
It's raining! Or rather, the sky is falling in. This means that my lawn is getting some much needed moisture - maybe it won't be brown!

freedom!
it feels like a weight has been lifted, now just watching for that other door (or window) to open.

A mild Texas summer. Don't get me wrong it's still hot, but 93 beats 103 anyday.

The Grateful Dead for reminding me that every silver lining has a touch of gray. I know this sounds pessimistic, but I think that it illustrates the balance of life. After all you can't recognize the good without knowing what bad is.
My company lost a big account last week which may affect my job security. I've spent the last 4 days looking for things to be grateful for. Here's what I've got so far:

1) By finishing up a project, I might dodge the layoff bullet (as least for a little while)
2) The experience I've gained working on this account is priceless
3) Every ending is a new beginning - I am excited for what my future holds and grateful to have a new opportunity (whatever that may be)
4) My stress level might go down a little bit (eventually)

grateful to my boss who recognized that it is a gorgeous day, that we have all worked very hard this week, and that we should be outside enjoying the day instead of at work. Yay for leaving early!
thanks to my friends and my dad for sending me funny emails.
grateful to IM which allows me to keep in touch with my brother who lives far away.
Grateful for the excellent happy hour specials at the nearby patio bar. They may not have fancy appetizers or trendy decor, but you can't beat a 22oz Spaten for $4.
Grateful for muscle memory
Grateful for the upcoming 3 day weekend
And even though I didn't want to go back to work after lunch, I must be grateful to do the work that I do because it was a business lunch, which I would not have had otherwise.
Yesterday I had lunch outside at a new restaurant. The weather was perfect, the conversation was good, and the food was delicious. Must thank CCA, JJ, & PW for treating me.
being busy at work - good for job security

A cool day in May - gotta enjoy them while I can

songs in the keys of C and G for making me happy and optimistic
the upside to leaving breakfast and lunch at home is that I get to spend more time outside in the sunshine while I go get food.
